yes that will work. Another good option would be clonezilla.
DD is still something you should get comfortable with. Its easy to automate backups with and its nice not to need a gui especially if remote. Just make sure you get your IF and OF devices correct.

If you are concerned about the arguments reference the [man page](https://www.man7.org/linux/man-pages/man1/dd.1.html). Most of them are just to further configure & speed up the process. For your case, especially with a small capacity like that you dont need to worry much about buffer sizes and such because its such a tiny card. you can leave the arguments blank. the only argument that could be helpful would be status to show how far its done or not. otherwise just read the manual.
