As of the new EU USB-C law/directive coming in yesterday, do we think all new releases (wireless) Pi will have to use USB-C, so ZeroW/PicoW range etc, when they are released?
As others will not be able to sell them with, or made in to product with batteries, and just because nearly all power units will be USB-C now. Micro are now hard to come by over here
Hence the surprise the Zero2W was not a C device ready for the change and market we are in.
I know it has no battery to charge as is, but people make devices with chargeable batteries that can and they may sell them (they can't now over here). They'll have to go custom or elsewhere.
The Pi5 series is covered as it falls into the >3A so has to have PD capability, so any new versions are fine (the RTC charges from it)
Thoughts?, any misinformation I have?
