Is that a mistake, or is there an H.266 video encoder in the BCM2712 that's disabled by default due to license fees? The player features an enhanced VideoCore VII GPU. It supports hardware decoding for H.266 (VVC) and H.265 (4Kp120), as well as H.264 (1080p120) and VP9 (4Kp60), and hardware encoding for H.265 (4Kp60) and H.264 (1080p60).
