I’m new to using Pis in general and am having trouble controlling a NEMA 17 stepper motor with a DRV8825. I have followed this guide:

As closely as possible with the exception of an 8AA battery pack instead of the power supply they recommend. My setup is otherwise exactly the same and the code is too with no errors when run. However, the motor just won’t turn, no vibrating or getting hot, literally just nothing. No other guides have been particularly helpful so I’ve come here.
Also I am new to these forums so apologies in advance if I do something wrong.
