Motorcycle batteries are mass produced and the slight weight difference of sodium over lithium should make that a good target market. If only UPS makers would fit motorcycle batteries instead of designing for their own expensive batteries.UPSes aren't a large enough market
Are the power losses complete or brown outs? The more expensive UPS options can boost power during brownouts, a problem we rarely have. Ours tend to be trees falling over power lines. 2 seconds to switch to an alternative circuit or 4 ~ 8 hours to rewire.
For me, a UPS would have to support some USB disks, a screen, plus an espresso machine in winter or a beer fridge in summer.
