Hey! So I’ve been thinking of developing a game on a Raspberry Pi with Godot 3 (I’m interested in developing for the Evercade) and I was looking into specs that were similar to the Evercade:
The Original model and Super Pocket use 256MB of RAM, while newer Evercade models use 512MB. The CPU is 1.2 GHz on older models and I think Super Pocket as well, while newer models use 1.4 - 1.5 GHz.
I was recommended on Reddit to get the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, as it has a similar spec range with 1GB of RAM, and 1.4 GHz, making it easier to port projects to lower specs.
I also saw the Pi 4 has 1GB of RAM, but CPU is now 1.5 GHz.
I did end up getting a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W however, which is lower specs, and has 512MB of RAM, same as newer Evercade models, and has a CPU speed of 1 GHz. Admittedly I probably should have gotten a different Pi but I can at least test Godot 3 games on it![Smile :)]()
Should I get a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ or a Raspberry Pi 4? Many Thanks!![Smile :)]()
