There are many readyly available products like jetkvm or tinypilot kvm or nanokvm that solve your problem. The usually grab HDMI and use the USB-OTG for keyboard/mouse/...I have a Geekom Mini Air 11 (https://service.geekompc.com/13124/) as a server running Debian 12 at a remote location, and want to use an RPi4 as a serial console server accessed over ssh.
I know USB-A to USB-A is a no-go (both devices in host mode), but will USB-A on the Rpi4 to USB-C (3.2 Gen 2) on the MiniPC negotiate host/device mode?
