I just got my new Raspberry Pi 5, and it is not turning on (red light turns on but the fan instantly stops after spinning for a split second).
I'm sure this is because the power adapter that I am trying to use is weaker than the official Raspberry 5 power adapter.
Apparently, the official power adapter says 27W but the Samsung adapter that I am using says 24W.
It will be hard to get an official adapter here in Korea since it is not released, so would be nice if I can find an alternative.
So, here is my question.
1. Is 3W a huge difference? enough for me to buy the official adapter?
2. If Q1 is true, would any 27W adapter work or are there more things that I should look out for?
3. Is there a verification measure/procedure that is preventing me using adapters from different brands?
And here is the adapter that I'm trying to use.
