Just get a decent quality well known SD card. Sandisk extreme work for me.
I have a curious problem. NO other card works for me but any SanDisk card.

The problem is reading, not writing - the reads get corrupted either or boot or several minutes afterwards, all symptoms look like the SD card is completely thrashed and needs serious repair ... until one puts it in PC under linux and only the dirty bit is set on the partition, the rest of the filesystem is fine. When booting the raspberry via USB-SDcard adapter, it works for days without a hitch.

This happens with the newest Ubuntu 24, but I am not sure that this is ubuntu problem. Tested on:

3 brands of SD cards (one being SanDisk)
2 different raspberry Pis
2 different PSU units (the original Raspberry Pi PSU)

I suspect some kind of HW or firmware problem.

Is this a known problem? I can attach logs, if needed.

Janez.
I would suggest that there is actually a HW problem here.
