I am currently using a RPI 3 with Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS, for home automation applications.
I use Home Assistant, zigbee2mqtt, eclipse-mosquitto and sqlite-web, all of them running in docker containers.
The RPI 3 proves sufficient for this application.
